Cream of Wheat
« on: October 12, 2011, 02:48:22 PM »
Hi, I've seen 'Cream of Wheat' mentioned in a few posts and wondered what it was, I'm from the UK and haven't come across it before, but then again I've only been with Peewee who is 15 weeks for three days:)

Cream of Wheat is a hot cereal that we were raised on here in Tennessee. I feed it to my parrot (4 months old) at night. It is easy to prepare and quick to fix. Feed the bird the Cream of Wheat while warm. It will love it. You will find many people mentioning giving oatmeal to their birds. My parrot loves oatmeal too. They both are very filling and the bird is content and ready for a good night of sleeping.

If you look on the nutrition label on a box of Cream of Wheat you will find it almost devoid of nutrition. Oatmeal is far more nutritious.
