well im glad yours is beautiful cos mine is very much an animal house

so its beautiful too but in an animal house way.

my mum looks disapprovingly at my house, (hers is like a showhome) seeing the parrot chewed door tops, the "ventilation holes" and "modifications" (made by stressed out rescue dogs when theyv arrived) in doors, the nose smears on the windows , the wrecked office chair, the odd paw print on the wall, the sewn up arms on the sofa where buddy as a puppy chewed them, the little locks iv put on internal doors to keep the dog opening them when he wants. the things to help my little blind dog out.
i view the same house as my HOME where every chew mark is from another animal lovingly rescued , from a happy puppy playing, from parrots being comfortable, every splatter is from food flung in enjoyment every blemish i know who made it and in what circumstances, and i realy dont mind and that is my life! people can accept how i am or stay away.
im hoping on the next visit which is later this month mum will
a) see how hard iv worked this summer to make my outdoor space look better and work better for both myself and my animal family
b) now shes seen the birds as being fun when they stayed at hers will see how much enrichment the outdoor environment here also brings both them and me
c) will see my staffy buddy is growing up into a more controllable adult dog anf not see him as the son of satan

. he ate her hearing aid, ran off with her handbag, and burst in on her on the toilet (he can open doors) last time she stayed here standing up and licking her face and her glasses and she freaked lol.
i do think she finally strted to see that im now truly happy with things how they are and just to leave me to it but wel see when she gets here.
