Hello! Two months ago my family and I welcomed Jessie, an 18 yr old Congo African Grey into our family.
To say she has enriched our loves since-is an understatement!Luckily for us, she came from a very loving family and it was obvious she was their whole world.Jessie is a very smart, and affectionate bird with an extensive vocabulary.She loves hanging out on shoulders and"cuddling". She has already picked up phrases and words from the family and has made herself at home.
I have purchased toys for her, a playstand and made some foraging toys as well .It took her a while to get familiar with the store bought toys and playstand. However, Jessie took to the homemade toys like a duck to water! Perhaps she sensed the love and care put into them?
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and introduce her and will definitely keep posting.
