i have heard of vinegar for cleaning before,if you've ever watched kim & aggie on tv they use it regularly. cider vinegar is good for birds too,for drinking (short term i think) as well as in showers  :)

i dont know about nowadays but when i was younger i used vinegar in water to rinse my hair as a preventative against headlice  ;D

I didn't know it was 10x more effective as a disinfectant when mixed with hydrogen peroxide, though. I also didn't know it made diluted bleach more effective

I think I would be very cautious about the the mixes that they talk about, both toxicity and fumes wise without a lot more research on it.

I use natural white vineger  around the house ..descaling kettles and coffee machines, wiping off door handles general disinfecting ect..we have a very stong vineger here  sold only for cleaning, I use it when cleaning windows or for degreasing stuff its very good but very smelly..
