Plucking, is every parent's worse nightmare! When Sophie started plucking, and kids called me at work, to tell me, I listened. The plucking was (venous), I told them to ignore her. (even though the blood was on the walls!) They were truly freaking out! When I got home, I took Sophie into the shower, which she hates! She was bloody... needed to get clean! I cleaned her, she never plucked again! She and I never talked about it! She just knew, what I would do about it!(she hates to shower!) She has never plucked again!
ignore the behavior! If it gets to the point of "serious plucking", let us know! Don't let your bird know you notice, or care! Let us know, but not your baby! Nancy M
