Plucking bird

So im new to having a grey got her though a good friend but she has had this picking issue for a long time, I have been doing some research and it could be a dry skin issue but also stress related as well i am able the get some interaction woth her but very new to care especially on the feather picking issue any info and advice would be greatly appreciated

hi jeff

do you know if your birds ever seen a vet for this problem? as it may be down to some physical cause thats making her pluck.you need to spray her with a fine mist of water everyday and adding some aloe vera juice will help soothe her dry skin.

also you need to let her come out of her cage for a few hours each day so she gets a change of scenery different rooms etc. to relieve the boredom of being shut inside,hope this helps jeff.
