Theafricangreyparrot.com forums have grown tremendously over the last 12 months and we thank all of you for being a part of this growing community.

In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums here. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact one of the Staff Members.

General Rules

*Post threads in the correct board (eg. diet goes in "Parrot diet" rather than "general" - this makes it easier for people to find stuff.

* While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.

* Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.

* Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.

* Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.

* Hijacking threads

* Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts. For style changes and general 'how-to' questions this should be 24 hours. For specific troubleshooting issues, use 12 hours as a guideline.

* We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate vBulletin community standards. The vBulletin team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

* Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.

* Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.

* We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.

* If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.

* Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

* We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our support forums are a privilege and not a right. A banned customer is still entitled to support from the support system.

* Please do not copy text/articles from other sites. Write a summary of the article and post a link instead.

Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.

All member please re-read this post. Posts in wrong sections
« Reply #1 on: April 22, 2007, 10:41:52 PM »
Hi Everyone,

This forum is starting to get pretty large now and it is important that we keep our posts in the right sections to make it easier for everyone.

I have noticed recently a lot more posts being put in the wrong sections. For example posts about Grey diets in the general section (rather than diet) and posts about training in parrot care (rather than training). The worst is seeing off topic (such as "Where do you live?) in the general grey area.

Please take the time to check where your post should go.

Also, the moderators here and myself would be really grateful if you could report any posts which are in the wrong section.

Cheers
Jamie

(From time to time people ask me "why did you delete my post?"

These posts have not been deleted but have been moved into the correct board category i.e. posts about toys go in the toys thread. This makes it easier for everyone to find posts on topics that they are interested in. Please always try to post in the most relevant category!)

Not noticed any of your posts in the wrong place, if i see them i just move them to the appropriate thread, as long as you put general parrot questions in the appropriate places ie, parrot health in parrot health thread and parrot traing in the training section etc and any general everyday conversation not connected to parrots in the lounge area theres no problem.
