Herbert has decided since it is snowy out .. that he has to practice his acrobatics in the house! I wish to the Gods i could get him talking on camera.. but - as you all know, our kids do not seem to like doing it ! LOL

Brilliant!  I can see how his beak gets warm after those acrobatics in the first film, he was actually doing it to the music at several points, Hes a gorgeous colour, i have always preffered the congos to the tags but his chest is gorgeous! Hes a credit to you.

I find that as Herbert gets older he is more fascinating I loved him as a baby, but he was VERY uncoordinated.. which is par for the course for young Greys. Now he just enjoys doing semi impossible things. Started this summer actually... when he would go out to his outside cage. It is smaller and easier for him to jump from thing to thing. I think he does not like playing in his indoor house as much, save to go to his toybox and occasionally got on a boing there. His thing is playing putside. That is why i set up a play area outside of his indoor cage. Can't imagine he would have as much fun on those expensive "play stands".

his play area looks amazing!...i saw someone else's pix on here that had a great setup too, but now i can't remember who it was and where i saw it...cjs definately needs lots more 'stuff'...sandi's tree looked great too, so i'm watching that post...right now all he has is his cage, with about 3 different perches and the playground top, which i have in a different room (he is only in his cage 1 hour a day in the afternoon, and bedtime...so i'm thinking i should invest in more of the outside stuff for him as well first...my eyes and ears are open!...is all of herberts 'things' all in one room, or does he have different play areas in different parts of the house? (just curious)...

He does not have other places in the house. What i did was use a plant hanger off the wall and we hung his boing from it. Plant hangers might be a better way of saying what it is. It is right by his cage and his cage has a huge pokey thing that he does a slidey, fireman slip down it.

Funny .. i just think the right thing for indoor cages is to have a play stand on top and do as Sandi did... Find a natural tree stand or boing. I keep at lest 4 perches on the outside of his home. That is where he can practice his aerobatics

hi roz...i appreciate your help here  ...the reason i took the plaything off the top of the cage is so he could have a play area in my home office (at least for now, till i get something else for him)...his cage is not in my office (where i am most of the day) so it is basically used for sleeping only (except for the one hour in the afternoon)...i thought of putting the cage in my office, but my office doesn't have interior doors (and since i do have 2 cats and a dog as well i worry about safety/security feeling while he's sleeping)... seems like a smaller 'sleeping' cage, moreso than a playground type thing, is what i need?...then i could put both the large cage and the playground in my office, and add to that, as you've done  ...so confusing!
