couldn't watch the video as i don't have a flash player or whatever but am i right in thinking tui has flown away, would be interested to know how this happened. how sad, i'd be inconsolable if anything happened to jasper.hope he's found soon.

Yes sadly Tui has flown away. Andrew was working on free flight and is now heartbroken. I cant imagine my home without Chuckles and hope he finds her.

Tui flew away a week ago i believe ... in Lawrence, Kansas. There has been a multitude of postings on all the grey sites and on 911 Parrot Alert. I too hope he finds him. I would hate to think someone found and kept him. Lawrence is a college town and fairly large ... like the name would suggest, surrounded by lots of fields of wheat Personally, i would offer a HUGE reward.

My heart is breaking for Andrew. Andrew has been part of another board that I am part of since he got Tui. I can't imagine how he must feel not knowing where his baby is.

I feel sooo bad for BOTH of them!!!!! Imagine Tui all alone without a familiar face!!!!! Free flight is very dangerous and that proves it!!!!

i was hearthbroken when i watched the last video  tui was the bird that insipred me to get an african grey, i cant believe she lost i hope he finds her it must be so stressful for both of them tui is the best parrot i have ever seen she is just amazing and sooo funny i love her i hope when i get my parrot she will be just like her.

I absolutely love Tui and completely heartbroken for Andrew.  I find it hard to watch their videos, but I do, because I'm hopeful and pray that they re-unite soon.

I keep checking up to see if there is news on Tui, have watched all the videos of her and she inspired me to get Bella, i still cant watch her last video without crying, Andrew just seems to have disappeared too, bless them both my heart goes out to both of them, he was trying to do his best for her. The last comment i read yesterday was from a total prat blaming Andrew for losing her and was obviously just being obnoxious, we all do our best for our birds, hindsight is a wonderful thing in all our walks of life. Bella has a harness when she goes out now and it still worries me. I really hope she she turns up safe and sound somewhere, i love her Almost as much as i love Bella.

this is really sad i always try to see if their is any new news abut her but unfortunaly not........... tui was the bird that inspired me to get an AG parrot but now she's gone its heartbreaking..... i still have hope that he will find her one day cuz she's a very smart bird and loves andrew alot, she is probably looking for him just like he's looking for her

I checked yesterday and there was no news at all.

The only news i have heard is that Andrew was planning on going back to New Zealand shortly after tui got lost. He wrote a long letter saying he had realized tui was holding him back from going out and visiting his friends and doing other things. That is why, he said, he was trying to teach her to fly free so he would have more freedom. Go figure. I think there is a long quarantine in NZ too. So,i just do not get where his head was/is at.

On a supplemental discussion site for 911 parrot alert on yahoo, i heard that it was suspected that tui had been found not far away but sold twice in a month long period. They were unable to trace the number of the people. Since that, i have heard nothing more. Seems whomever found her was more interested in making a buck than finding the owner.

As someone once said, when people find a lost dog or cat they search for owners. When they find a lost parrot, they buy a cage.

That is about all i know. I think the letter Andrew wrote about tui appeared on the 911 parrot alert site.
