Is There A Specific Time Of Year The Birds Breed?

Just wondering... Are There Signs to Look For? What do you put in the nesting box? How does it work?

yea, signs..

ul notice - if you have a nest box - that 1 keeps dissapearing into it, or you spot them chewing on it making the entrance hole bigger.
Also, if they regurgitate for each other it usually means they are a couple 
I think the babies sound like only born kittens. So if you hear that then you have babays!! 

Are you thinkn of breeding your birds or are the wee rebels doing it anyway lolz?

I don't have the nest box on the cage yet but they have had babies before... i would love to have a grey that does all the stuff you guys talk about! i have access to ample cages and supplies from the house i got them from. There are 5 or 6 metal nesting boxes for different cages... do i put some bedding in it for them? if yes, what is the best thing to use?

i'm not in a rush, like i said i have soooo many questions!


i got word from the lady who is placing all the cockatiels, love birds and budgies! they are healthy and happy... and are being relocated to seniors' resdiences! yahooo!

Good! Just what those little birds deserved!

I dunno - im not an expert on this area lolz, but I think newspaper would work class, and maybe wood shavings in with it.

I like the idea of newspaper as you can shred it and put it in but also give them big chunks so they tear it themselves which is a good thing..
And just to make it a little more cosy, easier to make, a little wood shaving..

Like I said I dnt really know alot about breeding so I'd say wait until someone more expirienced says they are safe - and offers some more suggestions.

So expirienced breeders - news paper and wood shavings??
