Hi there

I'm a very sad person at the moment because I just (a few hours ago) lost my African Grey Einstein.  He was nearly three years old.  He was such a happy go lucky bird and so happy to please.  He talked with us and sounded just like the person he impersonated.  My heart is very sore.  He didn't show any signs of illness and just talked a bit less.  In the next few hours things went down hill and he died in my arms with a few last words that we taught him.  It was the most terrible experience.  He had a very difficult time breathing.  We did have a very cold winter and I do wonder if the cold temperatures was the reason for his demise.  Everything looked normal until a few hours ago!!!  Is there no way that one can see the signs earlier to try to help him in advance?

So, 4 ani1 reedn this, plz look out for signs of illness, and go 2 the vet - even at the smallest signs. It might save your greys life  :-\

So sorry for you loss. My heart is breaking for you. Unfortunately these guys are so good a hiding their illness for their own protection. Sometimes it is the small things we over look and by the time we notice it is to late. You didn't do anything different in the house such a spray pesticide, burn something in the kitchen, use an oven cleaner, paint, etc. It is amazing how quickly some of these things can kill your bird. Once again I am soooo sorry.
